 Advantages of Promontory

Promontory; Beautiful and rich bio diversity area underwater in Kovalam for Scuba Diving

  • The promontory paves a natural landscape in the seabed and adds aesthetic beauty to the world underwater.
  • As the promontory extends towards the sea, the rocks underwater form a natural rocky reef ecosystem which provides shade, shelter and food and act as sheltered place for the fishes to breed and lay their eggs.
  • This stable and strong rocky substratum harbours the immovable (sedentary) organisms like sea sponges, anemones, sea weeds, barnacles etc. which call for other fishes.
  • Since a rich biodiversity is available in the promontory area, such a site is the most attractive spot for SCUBA diving to rejoice during your Holidays in Kovalam.
